Aum Gam Ganapataye Namaha
Gam is the bija (seed) mantra for the Hindu deity, Ganesha. Using bija mantra is a potent way to immediately access the energy you’re calling upon whether it be a chakra, or deity. It’s like a direct line!
Ganesha Clears Your Path
In Hindu mythology, Ganesha is known as the deity of knowledge, the remover of obstacles and is the guardian of Muladhara chakra (the root). He is also known as Ganapati. Gan means group.Ganesha is the lord of all the groups of energies and atoms in the universe. He pervades all and brings order to the universe.
Ganesha is often called upon at the start of new ventures to ensure success and prosperity. As the son of Shiva, the “Destroyer”, Ganesha also brings transformative qualities to all who call upon him. He clears the way for you to be on your right path and often shifts things out of our lives that we didn’t realize were obstacles until they were removed.
Ganesha’s elephant head reflects Atman or the soul and his human body reflects maya, the trappings of earthly existence. His large belly is thought to represent the space of the universe (past, present and future). In one myth, it’s told that Ganesha draws all the suffering of the world into his belly and transforms it for the good of all beings everywhere.
The Ganesha mantra is great to use anytime you feel stuck or blocked. Invoking Ganesha helps open your perspective, see things in a new way and release fears or narrow vision. It also helps you to reconnect with your desires and how to manifest them.
I bow to the remover of obstacles, Ganesha.
